“The Doctor is cleverer. He allows Clara to think she’s really clever all the time.” Matt Smith.
#total screaming genius #as if matt #the doctor is a giant space dork [x]
Wow, yeah. Not cool, Matt. How sickeningly condescending. :(

This is from Christopher and His Kind! I haven’t seen it yet but I’ve heard that it’s good. Matt Smith is Christopher Isherwood, the novelist—some of his stories are the inspiration for Cabaret.

“Don’t worry because I’m going to fight them off.”
During the Nerd HQ “Conversations for a Cause” with Matt, Karen, and Arthur
I love this, so very very much.
Some people would say something sly and patronizing to this girl, and make all the grown-ups laugh. “Ohhh the weeping angels are sooo scary bla bla blah.” But Matt asks this young lady if she’s scared, and she’s honest, and he sees the seriousness in her - because she believes this stuff, it’s part of her universe! And he goes into that universe with her, and tells her the truth from her perspective. He doesn’t say “It’s all pretend, sweetie, there’s nothing to be scared of,” or “Those silly weeping angels can’t hurt you,” or “The Doctor’s got it covered,” or dismiss her in any way. He steps into her world, and promises her that she’ll be safe in a language that she understands.
In my opinion this is the dictionary definition of respecting someone else’s beliefs. You win, Matt. You win so damn hard.
Every time I see this I have to reblog it

D’you think they talked about spaceships? (Also, swoon.)
The Doctor and Captain Reynolds met at Comic-Con.
Oh my.
I’d love to see Nathan Fillion in Torchwood. I think that’s more likely than Doctor Who, given Torchwood’s US partnering of late, and I WANT TO SEE JACK HARKNESS HITTING ON HIM SO BAD.

Watch 1:10-1:13(ish) !! Watch their heads. ROFL!!
LOL! It’s like they’re on strings! I missed it the first time.
In the longer version, does Matt call Karen “Kaz” or something like that? Is that a common British nickname for Karen or is Matt just being goofy?
